Equity Work’s commitment to providing safe and supportive services to children, young people and adults with disability.

We are committed to the safety, well-being, rights and empowerment of every person we support - including children and adults with disability.

Our approach reflects both the Child Safe Standards and safeguarding principles essential to safe NDIS service provision.

We uphold the Universal Principle of cultural safety by creating environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, adults and families feel welcome, safe, valued, included and respected in all aspects of our service delivery.

We recognise that both children and adults with disability may face additional barriers to safety and inclusion. Our staff and volunteers are trained, screened and supported to uphold people’s dignity, autonomy and cultural identity, and to respond to concerns in a timely, trauma-informed and respectful way.

We work in partnership with families, carers and communities, and we continually improve our practices to ensure our services remain safe, culturally responsive and inclusive.

Safety, respect, choice and cultural belonging are at the centre of everything we do.
