Celebrating Women Who Care Pamper Day 2017
Each year around the world we acknowledge International Women’s Day on March 8. This year, for the third time, Equity Works marked the day with our event Celebrating Women Who Care. This event is hosted jointly by Equity Works and Paula Brennan from Paula Brennan Photography and can only be described as a day that fills our hearts!
2017 saw us invite 40 Sunshine Coast women who care for a family member with disability to be Pampered and enjoy the company of other fabulous women over a lunch with beautiful sea views at the Maroochy Surf Club, where Melissa and her team look after us so well with wonderful service and beautiful food.
We are so grateful for the community support that is created each year and enables us to host our guests, with donations of cash from locals, donations of pampering products and services by our local wellbeing and beauty businesses.
Some businesses also contributed to fabulous lucky door prizes which gave some of our guests an opportunity to enjoy the Pampering for more than the one day we are able to offer. Our co host Paula Brennan donated a photography session and print worth over $800, Ness from Fernwood Fitness at Maroochydore donated a membership prize pack worth over $500 and David from Magic Massage donated a back massage for one of our guests to enjoy at a later date
This day would not be possible without the outstanding support of many local beauty and wellbeing professionals and we take this opportunity to say thankyou and share deep gratitude to the following businesses and individuals who came along and gifted their pampering skills and talents with our 40 guests.
Kerry and the girls from Mia Bella Beauty
Julie from Butterfly Blue Massage
Carolyn from Noosa Mobile Massage
Ann, Seonaid and all the team from Demi International Beauty Academy
