A Fair Day Out does Halloween 2016
2016 is the 4th year of A Fair Day Out and our second year of creating a Halloween fun zone! Each year this is a wonderful opportunity for old friends and new and we look forward to a joy filled day. Join us at Eumundi Markets on Saturday 29 October for 'A Fair Day Out' with a Halloween twist!
A Fair Day Out celebrates inclusive communities and is a wonderful creative expression for people with disabilities.
Expect a whole lot of spooky fun on the day, as well as some great prizes for the best dressed ($600 in market vouchers!) - in keeping with the Halloween theme.
We'll have special 'Trick or Treat' games for young market visitors embracing the Halloween fun. Games include Pin the Tail on the Black Cat, Witches Hat Ring Ross, Pumpkin Bowling, and Squirmy Worm Dunk.
The hub of the event will be at the Eumundi Amphitheatre with stalls providing information about services for people with disability, stalls run by people with disability using the Original Eumundi Markets' philosophy of 'make it, bake it, sew it, grow it', a haunted house photo booth (where you can have your pic taken with Halloween monsters!), as well as free art and craft activities for children + a Come and Try tent with activities to join in.
The Amphitheatre Stage will see entertainment from10am - 2pm - a blend of performances including dance, music and more.
The day is organised with volunteer and professional support by the On Track Cooperative, comprising five Sunshine Coast NFP disability support organisations - Equity Works, Inclusion Plus Family Support, SCILS, Spiral, and Parent to Parent. Together these organisations support over 800 people with disabilities and their families on the Sunshine Coast.
