Celebrating Women Who Care Pamper Day 2015
Celebrating Women Who Care Pamper Day 2015 is to be a hosted event on International Women’s Day, Sunday March 8, 2015.
The event will nurture and enhance the wellbeing of 30 Sunshine Coast women who are primary carers for a family member with disability. There is wide recognition in the community of the contributions made by carers who support their family members with love and time. On this day, we will reflect that LOVE and TIME back to the women who attend the Pamper Day 2015.
The event is the brainchild of local photographer Paula Brennan and Equity Works. Due to limited capacity, invitations for this event will be awarded to five local not-for-profit organisations to hand on to women they know. Organisations that form the On Track Cooperative; Equity Works, Inclusion Plus Family Support, Parent to Parent, SPIRAL and SCILS will all have an opportunity to nominate women for the event.
We invite you to visit our facebook page and encourage you to share it with friends, family, community groups and business associates to raise awareness and support for this worthwhile event. How can you help? We are seeking sponsorship for each woman to attend the event. Local businesses are coming on board with $350 donations that will pay the costs of 5 hours of respite support, a beautiful lunch and a pamper session for the 30 women.
