National Carers Week is celebrated in October each year and is a time when we salute those who care for others. This year Equity Works' Kirsten Trower was invited to attend Carers Queensland's Carer Friendly Business Awards where she received the Great Employee Award for 2015.

Kirsten was nominated by two families she currently works with as Coordinator with the Respite Plus Initiative.  Our sincere thanks to Sharon Hanna and Michelle Denniss for their nomination and lovely words describing how they felt about Kirsten's contribution to their families and the Initiative in general.
