Inclusive Yoga is a gentle and enjoyable yoga class, in which yoga students use the support of a chair throughout the class, to move into yoga poses.
Throughout this class, students will be provided with a range of options to enable them to perform the stretches. Inclusive Yoga enables people with diverse abilities to participate and to enjoy the many health benefits of a yoga practice. No previous yoga experience is required.
Yoga movements and stretches are performed either seated on a chair or standing holding the back of the chair for support. Each class will start with some deep breathing to help everyone settle in and relax and then we will move into gentle supported stretching and balance poses. Classes will finish with a short, guided relaxation. This class will help stretch and release sore/tight muscles, improve balance and flexibility and promote a sense of well-being in an inclusive and supportive environment.
