Equity Works is a community organisation that seeks to undertake activities that promote our organisational Vision - A community of inclusion with full participation by people with disability. With the Vision in mind, we have established a presence at the Sunshine Plaza with a number of activities based there.

Social & Community
We have a diverse team of Sunshine Coast based staff ready to match with you to assist you to progress your goals relating to participating in community, social or recreational activities.

Short Term Accommodation & Respite
We have a range of opportunities for people to take a break, get tailored supports, and meet new people through the use of Short Term Accommodation (Respite).

Supported Independent Living
Through NDIS funding we can help with things like getting assistance with chores, personal care, going to appointments, shopping for groceries, and other daily activities, including social activities.

Support Coordination
A support coordinator helps you with your plan and connects you to different services in the community. They focus on helping you learn new skills, make choices, and connect with people and providers who meet your needs.

Art by Friends
Whether you're just starting or already skilled in art or crafting, in this program we create a supportive environment where all members help and guide each other.

Hunters & Gatherers
Helping people connect and make friends in the kitchen and at the dining table, meeting every week to learn how to get ready, cook and enjoy a meal, and tidy up afterward.

Bongo Beatz
Come along and try out the bongos and other musical instruments, make new friends. A monthly BBQ is planned

Inclusive Yoga
Inclusive Yoga is open to the public and delivered by qualified yoga teacher who has partnered with Equity Works to offer this service.
